Put on apron

Place the end of the rubber
tube in water in the bowel

Pass the lubricated end of the
flatus tube 10 to 15 cm in to the rectum

Watch for air bubble passing
out through the tube in the water in bowel

Leave the tube in position
until the patient is relief or as prescribe by the doctor
